US President Donald Trump says American forces blew Iran’s “terrorist” leaders “out of existence” and “straight to the gates of hell”.

“They’re a mess, but we still have to finish it off,” Mr Trump said.

“Our navy is leading the way in ensuring that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.”
