<p>A Chicago man convicted of fatally stabbing a man 40 years ago is now charged with murder<b> </b>in the Tuesday stabbing in Little Village of a woman who was his partner for 30 years.</p><p>David Wilcox, 59, was arrested minutes after the attack of his longtime partner Elizabeth S. Elamri and charged with first-degree murder, Chicago police said. </p><p>Officers found Wilcox and Elamri, 61, when they responded to a <a class="Link" href="https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/08/19/woman-killed-man-seriously-injured-in-south-lawndale-stabbing" target="_blank" >report of a person stabbed</a> around 11:35 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Christiana Avenue., police said.</p><p>Elamri suffered multiple puncture wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.</p><p>At least one steak knife was recovered at the scene, according to a police report, which also stated that Wilcox allegedly attacked the woman before stabbing himself.</p><p>It's not the first time Wilcox has been accused of murder. </p><p>Court records show Wilcox was accused in 1986 of a fatally stabbing someone. Wilcox was convicted of murder in 1987 but he appealed the 20-year sentence and the charge was changed to voluntary manslaughter, court records show. In 1992, he was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 12 years, court records show.</p><p> <a class="Link" href="https://abc7chicago.com/amp/post/trump-supporter-beaten-on-west-side-explains-why-he-didnt-fight-back/1607016/" target="_blank" >Wilcox told ABC7 news in 2016</a> that he fatally stabbed a man who attacked him and his pregnant girlfriend.</p><p>In 2016, a day after the presidential election, <a class="Link" href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1A0x2NZJw5yarVx1pMXlTPKbYXhmcvfCzOSnAziwP980/edit?tab=t.0" target="_blank" >Wilcox made news</a> when he was dragged from his car on the city's West Side as attackers allegedly yelled: 'You voted Trump?' </p><p>Court details on the recent murder charge weren't immediately available. </p>
