NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has staunchly backed US President Donald Trump’s “leadership” following a White House meeting.
Following the hours-long behind-closed-door meeting, Rutte appeared on CNN’s ‘The Lead’ with anchor Jake Tapper.
Tapper asked Rutte if the world was “safer” before the war with Iran erupted, the Secretary General quickly fired back, “Absolutely”.
The Secretary General went on to argue that the world was safer because of “President Trump’s leadership”.
