Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney weighed in on US President Donald Trump's 48-hour ultimatum.
“I think he's as likely to do something eight o’clock Tuesday as he is not,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“Timelines don't mean anything … I think that’s important for people to realise.
“Trump doesn't consider himself bound by any of these deadlines; he's using them to try and force action.”
