Ceuta residents attack migrant camp and dump belongings into sea 2026

Residents in Ceuta have dismantled a migrant camp amid ongoing unrest in the Spanish enclave.

Locals have torn down tents and thrown migrants' belongings into the sea.

Tensions have been rising as increasing numbers of residents call for the removal of what they say are "invaders".

Authorities report 5,000 migrants remain in Ceuta after at least 72,000 people crossed from Morocco in July.
