The Hungary-based Axioma Center is announcing a fundraising for the victims of the Jordanian terror attack, during which Islamist have opened fire on a funeral procession, killing 9 Christian mourners and injuring some 40 people. The initiative is trying to resume where the renowned Hungary Helps program for persecuted Christians has left off after being shut down by the Péter Magyar government.
In their X post, Axioma have informed that last week, Islamist terrorists killed nine people and injured dozens during a funeral at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Karak, Jordan. Four eyewitness accounts reveal the human tragedy: “I went to the window and saw someone shooting at people standing outside the church. I immediately threw myself to the ground; when I later went outside, there were dead and wounded people lying there.” — Layan Halisa “I had come to attend a woman’s funeral. When the gunshots rang out, I headed outside with the others, only to discover that people were being shot.” — Anonymous survivor “I can hardly imagine a more painful moment for such an attack: these families were already grieving. One tragedy was compounded by another.”

Under former State Secretary for help for persecuted Christians, Tristan Azbej’s leadership, the Axioma Center for Persecuted Christians is now working to bring Hungarian assistance to suffering communities in great need.
Two days ago, Islamist terrorists killed nine people and injured dozens during a funeral at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Karak, Jordan.

The Axioma Center for Persecuted Christians began operations last month. Its aim is to carry on the intellectual legacy of Hungary’s previous engagement regarding persecuted Christians. The new international mission of the Axioma Center aims to ensure that often-forgotten Christian communities—which endure great hardship—are not left to fend for themselves, and seeks to ensure their cries for help are heard in the Western world and that they receive tangible assistance.
The center maintains that the TISZA government’s dissolution of the former Hungarian government’s state secretariat responsible for aiding persecuted Christians must not result in a lack of support for those Christians who continue to rely on Hungary to secure their communities’ future. It is the obligation of every Western nation to engage in international aid activities.
Under the Viktor Orbán government, Hungary decided to direct this assistance to the world’s most persecuted religious community—Christians—serving for a long time as the sole provider of such aid and setting an example for other nations with a Christian heritage.
Since its inception in 2016, the government unit responsible for aiding persecuted Christians—a state secretariat that was dissolved following the April elections—has channeled assistance and support from the Hungarian people to Christians persecuted for their faith or living in crisis zones across more than sixty countries.
