The Swiss media group Ringier sold its Hungarian media division Ringier Hungary Kft., including platforms such as Blikk, EgészségKalauz.hu, and Kiskegyed, to the Indamedia Network. Profession.hu, the leading job platform in Hungary as well as the sports media portal Sportal.hu will remain exclusively owned by Ringier.
Indamedia is one of the most dynamically growing digital publishing houses in the local media market, operating 18 high-reach online publications with nearly five million monthly users.
For more than a decade, the Indamedia Group has been a consistent market leader among the online news portals with Index, while also building a similarly strong position in the online women’s magazine category with its publications such as Femina and Dívány. In recent years, it has also developed successful event brands such as the AI Summit and DOGZ Festival. Following this acquisition, Indamedia will enter into new markets in which it previously had no products.
Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier commented on the acquisition by saying:

It allows us to focus our resources on our existing markets in Europe and Africa.”
