Left-wing activist praised for speaking out against anti-Zionist abuse 2026

News24 host Rowan Dean praised left-wing activist Marcia Langton for speaking out on violence imposed on her by being a so-called ‘Zio’ or ‘Zionist’.

“I thought the comments this week from Marcia Langton, the left-wing activist and academic, were worth singling out for praise,” Mr Dean said.

“That foul treatment, in my opinion, includes the sort of online comments directed at well-meaning and worthwhile Jewish organisations like the AJA and AIJAC from the likes of Bob Carr.”
