Aleksandar Vučić responded to the statement that Péter Magyar knew who the “puppeteer” of Hungarian-Serbian-Slovak friendship was. In an interview, the Serbian head of state also spoke about his friendship with Viktor Orbán, Magyar Nemzet reported. “I stand by my friends in good times and bad; I do not let them down,” he said.
The Serbian president responded to Péter Magyar’s remarks from Monday afternoon during the evening news on public television. Aleksandar Vučić also addressed Péter Magyar’s statements regarding the TurkStream pipeline, which he made during the international press conference.

Magyar said on Monday afternoon. The Serbian president then replied: “Who is the puppeteer? Come on, answer! Who is the puppeteer? Do you want people to think it is Putin, or who? I would call this statement nonsense, but I do not want to jeopardize our relations with Hungary.”
Magyar also spoke about the explosives found on the Serbian side of the Hungarian border on Easter Sunday. During the election campaign, he hinted that the attempted sabotage was a false-flag operation.
Vučić then emphasized: “It is not his country that is investigating this. We will continue our investigation and inform Péter Magyar of the results. We will show him that he was wrong to believe the nonsense of the tabloid press.”
Vučić stated that the Serbian investigation had brought many things to light, but that they did not wish to discuss them because there had been many pitfalls and false leads. He did mention, however, that they had received a phone call from Kosovo. “A message was sent here from a number in Pristina; we deliberately chose not to inform the public about it,” he added.
The Serbian president also spoke about his friendship with Viktor Orbán.

he said. According to Vučić, conflicts between Hungary and Serbia have significantly decreased over the past twenty years, and Orbán has played an important role in this. The Serbian president added: “We have achieved a genuine understanding between Serbia and Hungary; I do not think it would be easy to destroy it.” He explained that MOL intends to sign an agreement with Belgrade soon. The head of state emphasized that the Hungarian oil company wants to continue negotiations.
